LTC Emergency Grant Application

About Emergency Grants

Lakeshore Technical College offers emergency grants that provide limited financial assistance to LTC students who are at risk of dropping out of college due to unexpected financial dilemmas.  Examples of funding items include a health care bill, rent payment, or auto repair bill that could greatly impact a student’s ability to continue attending college.  Anticipated expenses, such as tuition and fees, are not eligible for emergency grant funding.

Funding for emergency grants is made possible by grants from the Wisconsin Technical College system as well as by generous contributions from the LTC Foundation. One application (linked below) can be used for each type of grant source.

The approval of a grant and amount awarded will be determined on an individual basis.  Circumstances, documentation, and financial need are all taken into consideration, including the number of LTC credits earned and the nature of the emergency.  Assistance is granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin

WTCS Emergency Grant Eligibility

Applicants to the LTC emergency grant program must be students who are currently attending classes at LTC, and must be in good academic standing. Grants are limited to $500 per student per year.
